How We Serve

Our Causes

One of the great things about being part of Lions Club is the flexibility to serve where we’re needed most. We listen to our community, pay attention to emerging needs, and shape our projects around what will make the biggest impact—whether that’s helping local families, supporting youth programs, or responding to unexpected challenges. Our service evolves with our community, and we’re always ready to step up.

Free Vision Screenings

We provide free early childhood vision screenings to catch potential vision issues before they affect learning and development. Trained volunteers screen young children at schools and community events, often spotting issues before parents or teachers notice—so families can get support early and kids can focus on learning, playing, and being kids.

Used Glasses Recyling

Our used glasses recycling program gives gently worn eyeglasses a second life. Donated glasses are collected, sorted, and refurbished, then distributed to people around the world who can’t afford vision care—helping improve sight, independence, and quality of life, one pair at a time.

Walk for Peace

Four of the six members of the organizing committee for Cedar Park’s first annual Walk for Peace are proud members of our Lions Club. What began as a modest goal of attracting 50 attendees quickly grew beyond anything we imagined — more than 200 people came out to support the event! We are excited to continue supporting this meaningful community tradition in the years to come.

Sonny's Peaches

One of our proudest traditions is Sonny’s Peaches, our signature fundraiser named after a beloved late member who championed this effort year after year. Selling peaches in his name is more than just a fundraiser—it’s a tribute to his legacy and a reminder of the impact one Lion can make.
