Celebrating Our Campers: Quinn’s Final Year at Texas Lions Camp

Each summer, the Lions of Texas change lives—one camper at a time.

One of the most meaningful annual projects at the Cedar Park / Leander Lions Club is sponsoring children to attend Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville—a free, life-changing summer camp for children with disabilities and those managing diabetes. It’s a week full of friendship, fun, and independence that leaves a lasting impact on everyone involved.

Thanks to the generosity of our members and community supporters, we were proud to sponsor five campers this year—including Quinn, who has joined us for several summers.

This summer marked Quinn’s final year at camp due to age eligibility, and we were thrilled to hear from his family that he had another fantastic experience! His mom, Emily, shared how grateful they are for the opportunity he’s had to attend four incredible summers in a row.

And the experience isn’t just for the campers—we’re excited to volunteer again this year on Sunday, June 29th, to welcome arriving campers and assist with their luggage. It’s a small gesture with a big heart, and we hope to see many of you there, lending a hand and a smile.

Thank you to everyone who helps make this incredible program possible. The joy, confidence, and growth Quinn and so many others have experienced are what being a Lion is all about.
